But now, her Generations headache might be over as she will be joining the popular telenova, Isibaya soon.

Rumour has it that Maggie, who plays Akhona in Generations, is in negotiations with Isibaya bosses.

“She’s been to Bomb Shelter Productions a number of times where they’re discussing her role and contract,” a close friend said.

It’s also understood Isibaya creators are keen on having Maggie on set.

“Maggie is excited about her new venture.

“This will also give her a chance to start afresh since she was humiliated by cops when she got arrested in Cresta last year.

“Her reputation was ruined as cops and managers of that chain store humiliated her.

“She was frog-marched into the waiting police van after she was accused of theft,” one of the Generations crew told Sunday Sun.

Akhona was arrested for allegedly shoplifting Panado tablets worth R17 at a Checkers store in Cresta, Jozi.

She appeared in court this past Thursday and her case has been postponed.

Akhona refused to comment and said: “Wow! That’s interesting news. No comment.”
Isibaya is gaining popularity among Mzansi’s soapie lovers and with her talent, it can only get better.
