GENERATIONS boss, Mfundi Vundla, is spitting fire! This after he had discovered that make-up, clothes and jewellery were disappearing from the Henley Studios in Auckland Park, Jozi.
Sunday Sun understands that Mfundi can no longer stand by and let things vanish in his studios. He has allegedly launched a full-scale investigation into the theft of goods.
Insiders at the popular SABC1 soapie have revealed that people are scared they might have to kiss their jobs goodbye when Mfundi’s investigators release the report and possibly nail those who are responsible for the items that went walkabout.
A well-placed source said: “Generations has been hit by internal theft where clothes and make-up meant for actors disappear.
“This started happening last year before actors went on strike. When the wardrobe and make-up department had to do their job, certain items couldn’t be found.
“Mfundi had to fork out money for new clothes and make-up. He has since appointed a team of investigators, because it was costing him a lot of cash to replace the stolen stuff,” said the source. It has also emerged that some of the actors and staffers are against the probe. They believe innocent people will be fingered by investigators.
“When we leave the studio no one searches us. We work in fear and are even scared to come with our own make-up to the studio because we might end up being accused of being thieves,” another insider told the People’s Paper.
Last week the SunTeam approached Mfundi for comment and he refused to shed light on the matter.
All he said was: “Angiyazi daai ding!” and laughed at this reporter.
Now I know we will all look at Akona since she was reported stealing pain tablets, but now someone stealing clothing off set, ayibo whats going on kwi Generations?
